Vibe25 Radio is a branch of Smiling Families Charity (CC 1183860)
Supporting families with children, parents and relatives affected by terminal illness, disabilities or life-changing conditions.
Our Aim
Our goal is simple: to bring a smile to those who need it most and to give people a positive reason to keep moving forward.
We do this by opening our studio to families who want to share their stories — whether by appearing as guests on one of our programmes or by presenting a show of their own.
Who We Support
Vibe25 Radio and Smiling Families Charity reach out to a wide range of people, offering meaningful opportunities such as:
- Underprivileged children who would cherish the chance to create music, learn studio skills, and mix tracks on our state-of-the-art Pioneer equipment
- Young people interested in journalism and media, including interviewing skills, presenting, and production
- Veterans who want a platform and a voice
- Families who want to help and support other families through on-air discussion and shared experiences
- School groups, including Year 6 pupils, who visit our studio for hands-on learning sessions
- A dementia support group, who provide MP3 players as music has been shown to stimulate memories and emotional connection
How We Operate
We are powered entirely by volunteers.
No wages, no fancy buildings or expensive vehicles — everything we do is funded through the kindness of donors and the dedication of our volunteer team. (Although yes, we still have to cover our DAB and Ofcom costs!)
Building Partnerships
We are proud to have formed relationships with organisations such as The JD Foundation and Puma, who have expressed interest in broadcasting Vibe25 Radio within some of their stores and buildings.
